The Cavell Van is in the care of the Museum and is usually at Bodiam Station, East Sussex.

Opening Times

The Museum is now closed for the season and will re-open in late March.

The Cavell Van is also closed for the season but will re-open in Febrauary when trains run to Bodiam

Admission

An admission charge of £1.50 applies for all adults.  Children aged 9-16 are charged 50p and under 8's are admitted free.

Admission to the Cavell Van is free but donations for its upkeep are very welcome.

Car Park

Free parking is available on site.

Dogs

Dogs are not admitted, except for assistance dogs.

Facilities for Visitors with Disabilities

Wheelchair access is available to all areas, except for viewing one of the video presentations which involves negotiating two steps.

Restaurant

Catering is available in the Station Refreshment Rooms. This building was formerly the Maidstone & District Motor Services waiting room at Palace Avenue, Maidstone - built in 1922 as Britain's first bus station. Today you can enjoy anything from an ice cream to a cooked lunch with desert seated inside the quaint 36-seater restaurant or al fresco in the dappled shade beneath surrounding trees. The children's play area is adjacent to the Refreshment Rooms and offers shaded picnic tables.

BOOKSHOP

The Museum has its own bookshop, selling a wide range of second-hand books and magazines in the foyer.

ARCHIVES AND RESEARCH

Museum staff are always on hand to offer advice and guidance but are not able to offer research facilities. Access to the Archive  may be obtained by agreeing a mutually convenient appointment with the Curator.
